Jessica Leuschner will be discussing and demonstrating the use of our new
Signoscope watermark detector. This workshop will be a combination
of demonstrations, lecture and video.

GERMAN COLONIAL STAMPS - by Christopher Kolker MD
Dr. Kolker will provide an overview of Germany's colonial history,
and show how the colonial postal systems for it far-flung empire
systematically developed. This allows for the present-day collector to
easily understand and collect German colonial stamps with confidence.

WALTHAM STAMP CLUB 2021 ANNUAL MEETING
The Waltham Stamp Club will be holding our annual meeting.
This is the one meeting during the year when ONLY WSC MEMBERS are invited.
The meeting will include the following:
Review the past year, the new programs we've implemented and what changes have occurred.
Recognize the contributions of many of our members in spite of the pandemic.
Celebrate the membership anniversary years of a number of our members.
Preview the coming year's activities and events (May 2021 - April 2022)
Return to Spellman Museum and the continued use of ZOOM meetings
Plans for WALPEX 2021
New planned programs
Purchases benefitting our membership
And finally, the election of officers and other members of our Executive Board.
As an added treat we will introduce an activity to replace the
Annual Trivia Contest traditionally held at our banquet.
Of course the usual prizes of bottles of wine will be provided.
Details will be provided during the meeting.

BIRTH AND RISE OF OUR NATION: PART 2 - by Stephen Neuman
In part one, presented Jan 5, we discussed the stamps issued as part of the
American Bicentennial celebration and the revolt by the colonists against
King George III. With the Revolutionary War ended at Yorktown and the
Treaty of Paris signed in 1783, the thirteen states had all just ratified the
Articles of Confederation and were preparing the most important and
meaningful document of our new Government – the US Constitution.
The story is told through the stamps and covers presented in the second
part of Birth and Rise of Our Nation Part 2.
